About this wallpaper
Early November carries a particular kind of light, low and honeyed, slipping across floors in the hour before tea. It is the light of rainy weekends indoors, when the toy box comes out and the afternoon stretches wide enough for a whole tiny world to unfold.
Today's piece imagines that moment in plasticine: a striped spinning top caught at the height of its twirl, dominoes gathered around like a hushed crowd, a little wheeled duck waiting its turn. Every surface keeps the memory of the hands that shaped it, thumbprints and soft seams left visible as a kind of signature of care.
We chose it as a gentle reminder that attention is its own form of play. The top will eventually slow and wobble and tip, the ball will arrive too late, the duck will be pulled somewhere new. But for this one golden second, everything is balanced, warm, and spinning beautifully.
