About this wallpaper
Early November brings the first truly cold mornings, the ones that send us reaching for something warm between both hands. Today's wallpaper imagines what might be happening inside that cup: a whole small civilization, busy and kind, ferrying messages across a harbor of steeped amber.
The isometric view gives the scene the feel of a cherished model town, something you could lift from a shelf and turn in the light. Gouache, with its velvety matte body, keeps every surface soft and touchable. Sugar cubes become cottages, a pocket-watch keeps civic time, and paper boats carry envelopes stamped with nothing more urgent than good wishes.
Why today? Because the season is turning inward, toward letters, hearths, and the quiet arithmetic of who we want to stay in touch with. Let the fox postmaster remind you that a message sent slowly can still arrive exactly on time. Pour something warm, write to someone, and let the steam carry it upward.
