About this wallpaper
The first of November arrives softly, as the year tips toward its quieter months. Today's piece honors the patience of listening: a single paper radio dish, folded and scored by hand, turned toward a sky the color of warm apricot tea.
Beside it stands a figure no taller than a fingernail, lantern raised. Nothing dramatic happens here. There is no launch and no arrival, only the hum of waiting, drawn as fine paper arcs rippling into the dusk. Each layer of the sky is a separate sheet of tissue, lit from behind so the light seems to breathe between them, and every shadow is real and cast in miniature.
Cinema has long taught us that solitude in space is not emptiness but attentiveness. Rendered in paper, that idea becomes intimate and forgiving: you can almost see the cutting mat beneath it. On a day for remembering and gentle beginnings, let your screen hold a small frontier where someone is simply, faithfully listening.
