About this wallpaper
Before music became frictionless and weightless, it possessed physical friction—the mechanical whir of plastic spools, the tactile snap of a plastic deck door, and the unspooling wonder of magnetic brown tape. 'Analog Rewind in Ochre' honors this physical communion with sound through the deliberate, physical craft of linocut printmaking.
Hand-gouged relief cuts translate the geometry of sound into the radiant graphic grammar of the 1970s. As the cassette ribbon unfurls across the frame, it expands into bold chevrons and sun-drenched supergraphic stripes, glowing in tones of marigold, terracotta, and toasted biscuit paper. It is an artifact from an era when listening to music was an intentional, warm-toned ritual.
