About this wallpaper
As late September crosses the threshold into autumn, the air grows sharp and moisture clings to every highland crest. 'Clearance After the Squall' observes the fleeting drama when rain-heavy clouds part just minutes before dusk, saturating the atmosphere with molten amber light. The damp cedar needles and soaked earthen paths exhale rising plumes of vapor, transforming the valley into an ethereal theater of light and moisture.
Crafted with the smudged softness of chalk pastel overlaid with the decisive, hydrophobic edges of wax crayon, this piece honors the romantic lineage of modern Shin-Hanga printmaking. It reminds us that weather is not merely a backdrop, but an active emotional architecture that reshapes how we perceive ground, sky, and stillness.
